"Hardcore VW forum
Where all the hardcore VW people come, read only access unless you send a private message to hardcore vw. This forum is here for people with watercooled VW's going 13.99 or quicker, 100mph or faster or making at LEAST 200hp to the wheels
Moderator Hardcore VW"

quoted from the webpage layout under the board. SO run a 13.99, have 100+mph traps and 200+ whp.

I would say the Hardcore requirements need to be changed a little. A chip, DP, intake and exhaust on a 1.8T will get you to the 200whp goal. I would not call that Hardcore. That is bolt on.

I think the bar should be raised a little more than that. The 13.9 is cool though because that means you need slicks or some power on streets.

I sent Hardcore a PM but i have nothing to post that says my Corrado ran a 13.51 1/4 at 106mph and has a dyno showing 235whp.

This is with stock cat, no intercooler, T04, EIP downpipe and Autronic SM2.

The car is down right now waiting for the Built 83mm piston engine to go in.

ur on cincy street board, huh? im from pittsburgh. my name aint log'd in- vw16vcabby. The requirements as far as i know were made way before every tom dick and harry had a turbo- and no aftermarket to support it. WHy do you think everyone in the room is a diy person. Because they innovated where companies stopped.

and 200 whp is not 200 bhp with a simple chip you will not put 200 hp at the wheels but yes this is an out dated format seeing as all of us that have been there a while are in low 12 -10 sec range and most make over 300 whp ...but

Well heres digging up the past. I've never dragged my car, but it is a regular at open track days and Solo's, and was totally built by myself. I guess they aren't considered hardcore worthy events though, since I've been trying on and off to get into the hardcore forum for over a year now.
